4 Body Scrubs For Dry Skin

Exfoliation helps us get rid of dead cells and, in turn, allows cellular oxygenation

Body scrubs for dry skin differ from other types of scrubs in their composition, as they include mild ingredients to avoid scratching or hurting the skin when rubbing. Dry skin does not have the necessary lubrication to prevent rubbing from damaging it and, therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the skin type before opting for one exfoliator or another.

Dry skin is a common problem that becomes more apparent during the winter. If the dryness is not severe yet, you will notice some flaky texture and patches of discoloration. If the problem is already serious, you may feel an itch that can cause bleeding if you scratch the affected area excessively.

To prevent dryness from becoming a problem, you can opt for the following body scrubs. They are ideal for dry skin since, in addition to deep cleaning, they will hydrate and improve the texture of the skin.

Other recommendations

Although your skin may have a tendency to be dry, most of the time it is the result of a lack of hydration. Some tricks to reduce it are:

  • Drink enough water. It is recommended to consume two liters of water a day, but if it is too hot and you have a very busy day you may need more.
  • Reduce the temperature and frequency of your showers. Some people have a habit of bathing 2 or more times a day when it is too hot. If you notice that at this time your skin looks drier, limit your showers to 1 a day and only with warm or cool water.
  • Wear cotton clothing. Excessive heat can dry out your skin. To facilitate perspiration of your skin and avoid the accumulation of sweat, wear light and fresh cotton clothing.
