Ingredients

  • 1 egg.
  • 70 grams of brown sugar.
  • 1 apple.
  • 1 bottle of skimmed natural yogurt (50 ml).
  • 80 grams of whole wheat flour.
  • 50 ml of mild olive oil.
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.

  • First, in a bowl, beat the egg and sugar, pour in the yogurt and keep stirring.
  • Then, sift the flour with the yeast, the cinnamon and pour into the previous preparation.
  • Add the oil and keep beating.
  • Then, preheat the oven to 180 ° C and grease a mold with oil.
  • Peel and cut the apple into thin slices.
  • Pour the batter into the mold and spread the apples on top.  Also, sprinkle with brown sugar.
  • Put in the oven and cook 30 minutes (or until when pierced with a fork it comes out clean and dry).
  • Remove from the oven and also  allow to cool before unmolding.
  • Finally, cut into portions of the size you prefer and accompany with a sparkling and aromatic coffee.

Another way to prepare whole apple cake

This spicy cake is very rich and no one will be able to resist the temptation to eat more than one serving. Surely when you try it it will make you remember the cakes that your grandmother or your mother prepared when you were little.

You need

  • 3 eggs.
  • 200 grams of brown sugar.
  • 250 grams of whole wheat flour.
  • 120 grams of olive oil.
  • 1 green apple.
  • 1 pot of neutral yogurt.
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon.
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract.
  • 8 cloves.

How do you prepare it?

  • First, in a bowl put the eggs and brown sugar.
  • Afterwards, beat with electric rods and pour in the olive oil little by little while stirring.
  • Then add the yogurt and the vanilla essence and beat a little more.
  • Add the whole wheat flour already sifted and to make the cake “higher”, also add an envelope of baking powder.
  • Crush the cloves in a mortar and mix with the cinnamon.
  • Peel and chop the apple into small pieces. Then, pour everything into the previous mixture (don’t forget the cinnamon and cloves).
  • Grease the mold you want to use and pour the preparation there.
  • Turn the oven to 180 ° C and cook for 30 minutes
  • Then, remove and let cool before unmolding
  • Lastly, you can sprinkle with icing sugar and serve with a cup of warm milk and honey.

Whole wheat apple and raisin cake

  • 250 grams of whole wheat flour.
  • 3 eggs.
  • 150 grams of brown sugar.
  • 75 ml of oil.
  • 75 grams of raisins.
  • 6 plums.
  • 1 apple.
  • 1 sachet of baking powder.
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon.
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves.
  • ¼ teaspoon ground or grated ginger.
